The Ethereum Foundation announced another ETH sale! This time, twice as much was sold as last time!
The Ethereum Foundation, the main organization behind the Ethereum ecosystem, announced another sale following a recent one. In its statement, the Foundation reported that the sale of 10,000 Ethereum tokens ($ETH) was completed today.
According to the statement, the sale was carried out through over-the-counter (OTC) transactions at an average price of $2,387. In total, $ETH worth $23.87 million was sold. The counterparty to the deal was identified as Bitmine, a company engaged in cryptocurrency investments. OTC transactions are known for allowing large-volume sales without sharp fluctuations in market price.

This latest sale is notable as it follows a previous $ETH sale organized by the Foundation on April 8, when developers sold 5,000 $ETH via TWAP.
