Other U.S. President Donald Trump reacted to Iran’s proposed agreement!

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the latest proposal presented during negotiations to end the war with Iran. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump stated that Tehran’s administration wanted to reach a deal, but the current proposal did not meet their expectations.

Trump acknowledged that Iran had made progress in the negotiation process but expressed doubts about the possibility of reaching a final agreement. Pointing to serious disagreements within the Iranian leadership, Trump described the governing structure as “fragmented” and “inconsistent.” The U.S. president said that different groups in Iran are willing to reach an agreement but are struggling to find common ground.

On the other hand, Trump also sharply criticized a law requiring Congressional approval for the continuation of U.S. military operations against Iran. Referring to debates surrounding the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which requires the president to obtain Congressional authorization within 60 days, Trump called the provision “completely unconstitutional.”

President Trump, noting that the U.S. administration had never previously sought such approvals, made it clear that he would not seek formal Congressional authorization in this case either. While some members of Congress argue that the 60-day period has already expired, since the conflict began on March 2, the administration claims that the ceasefire process has paused this timeline.
