Bitcoin was trading at $70,689.0 at 20:02 GMT on Friday on the Investing.com Index, posting an 11.00% gain for the day. This marked the sharpest daily increase for the cryptocurrency since February 6.

This surge pushed Bitcoin’s market capitalization to $1,415.1 billion, representing 58.87% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. Previously, Bitcoin’s market cap peaked at $2,488.1 billion.

Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin traded in a range between $60,187.0 and $71,422.2.

Over the last 7 days, Bitcoin recorded a decline of 15.92%. Bitcoin’s trading volume over the past 24 hours totaled $135.4 billion, or 45.36% of the total crypto market volume. During the past week, the price ranged between $60,187.0430 and $84,240.7813.

Bitcoin’s current price remains significantly below its all-time high.

Meanwhile, other cryptocurrencies:

Ethereum was priced at $2,065.11 on the Investing.com Index, up 10.55% on the day.

Tether USDt traded at $0.9995 on the Investing.com Index, showing a 0.06% gain.

Ethereum’s market capitalization stood at $249.6 billion, or 10.38% of the total crypto market cap, while Tether USDt’s market cap was $185.6 billion, or 7.72% of the market.
