Bitcoin Volatility Hits 10-Year Low
According to a new analysis by the Ecoinometrics platform, Bitcoin's current rally is happening amid unusually low volatility. This week, volatility dropped to its lowest level in the past decade, signaling an "exceptionally calm bullish trend."
For example, from late 2024 to July 2025, the price of the flagship crypto asset rose from around $70,000 to over $115,000. What’s unusual is that such significant growth occurred without extreme price swings, unlike in the past. This indicates that the Bitcoin market is becoming more stable and predictable.
Additionally, the CME VIX (volatility index) declined in July, aligning with a seasonal pattern that typically precedes a volatility spike in August.
The main reason for the low volatility is likely the involvement of large corporations and professional investors. Their participation helps mitigate speculation-driven volatility.
As BTC evolves into a more mature asset class, its increased liquidity (supported by ETF-backed capital and corporate reserves) makes it less susceptible to sharp price swings triggered by retail investor panic.
