BitMine Bought $205M Worth of Ethereum and Accumulated 3.63 Million ETH
Last week, the Ethereum treasury company BitMine purchased $205 million worth of ETH, increasing its holdings to 3.63 million altcoins valued at $11.8 billion at the current exchange rate.
According to the report published on November 24, BitMine holds 3% of all issued Ethereum and $800 million in fiat currency on its balance sheet. Therefore, it can be confidently assumed that the company will continue investing in ETH to accumulate 5% of all created coins and thereby achieve the goal set by the company’s head, Tom Lee.
Notably, despite the recent drop in Ethereum’s price, the cryptocurrency investment has generated an unrealized profit of 3% for BitMine. This is because the company purchased digital assets at an average price of $2,840, while they now trade at $2,925. Additionally, BitMine ranks second among major cryptocurrency treasury organizations, behind only Strategy, which holds $56.58 billion worth of Bitcoin.

“The decline in [Ethereum] price observed last week reflects liquidity issues that emerged on October 10, as well as technical indicators that remain weak. Several weeks ago, we suggested that the ETH price would likely fall to around $2,500, and this prediction almost came true,” Tom Lee stated.
