Bitwise Presents a Forecast for Bitcoin Volatility Next Year
According to the experts, Bitcoin demonstrated price fluctuations of 68%, ranging from a low of $75,000 in April to an all-time high of $126,000 in early October. During the same period, Nvidia showed significantly higher volatility, with fluctuations of 120%, moving from a low of $94 in early April to a high of $207 in late October.
“Bitcoin will continue to be less volatile than Nvidia in 2026, as its volatility has been steadily declining over the past ten years. The asset’s risks are decreasing due to changes in the composition of market participants and the emergence of institutional investment products,” Bitwise explained.
The decline in volatility of the leading cryptocurrency will be supported by growing interest from large investors and the entry of new participants into the market. In 2026, low volatility will not prevent Bitcoin from reaching a new all-time high and breaking the four-year cycle, the experts believe.
Previously, Bitwise stated that the greatest threats to Bitcoin in the current market cycle are delays in cryptocurrency regulation in the United States and the risk that the artificial intelligence boom could end in a burst bubble.
