Spot Bitcoin ETFs Attracted Over $1.25 Billion Since Early May, While ETH ETFs Added Nearly $170 Million

Spot Ethereum ETFs in the U.S. attracted $171.66 million from May 1 to May 8, 2026, while spot Bitcoin ETFs brought in $1.25 billion during the same timeframe.

Between May 4 and May 8 alone, inflows totaled approximately $70 million for Ethereum ETFs and $623 million for Bitcoin ETFs.

Ethereum ETFs started May with strong momentum, attracting $101.18 million on May 1.

Positive flows continued on May 4, when investors added another $61.29 million, followed by an additional $97.57 million on May 5.

On May 6, inflows slowed to $11.57 million.

However, the sector turned negative on May 7, with investors withdrawing $103.52 million.

The following day, funds returned to positive territory with inflows of $3.57 million.

Bitcoin ETFs also began the month with substantial inflows.

Funds attracted $629.73 million on May 1, another $532.21 million on May 4, and $467.35 million on May 5.

Afterward, momentum slowed, with net inflows of $46.33 million on May 6.

At the same time, the sector recorded significant outflows on May 7 and May 8, totaling $277.5 million and $145.65 million respectively.

The altcoin ETF sector showed mixed results between May 4 and May 8, with selective inflows concentrated in several products.

The strongest inflows among altcoin funds were recorded by $SOL-ETF, which attracted $39.23 million.

$XRP-ETF products added $34.21 million.

Other funds posting positive inflows included:

  • DOGE-ETF — $627,400;
  • LINK-ETF — $1.41 million;
  • HBAR-ETF — $2.49 million.

Meanwhile, LTC-ETF, DOT-ETF, and AVAX-ETF products recorded no notable capital movement during the same period.

It is worth noting that combined investments into spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs exceeded $2 billion in April 2026.
