The Tokenized Assets Market Hits a Historic Capitalization Record
The category of tokenized assets includes currencies, treasury bonds, venture capital, and private equity. Analysts identified investment funds that leverage blockchain to enhance efficiency and accessibility of financial instruments for a certain category of clients as the main driver of market growth.
“The Ethereum network remains key for tokenized financial products and currently accounts for nearly 55% of the entire market. This is thanks to its mature smart contract ecosystem and the adoption of the ERC-20 standard,” said experts at Token Terminal.
The largest tokenized assets on Ethereum today are stablecoins USDT and USDC, as well as BlackRock’s tokenized BUIDL fund, created in partnership with the Securitize platform.
Institutional interest in the tokenized assets market is growing, and crypto companies are increasingly shifting from stablecoins to tokenized treasury funds due to their stability and yield, explained representatives of Token Terminal.
Earlier, experts from the crypto analytics platform CoinGecko reported that since 2024, the market capitalization of real-world tokenized assets (RWA) has grown by more than $100 billion.
