Bitcoin miner BitMine boosts Ethereum reserves to 1,297,093 ETH
BitMine Immersion Technology, led by Tom Lee, has taken advantage of Ethereum’s price dip and added 106,485 ETH to its holdings. The company now holds 1,297,093 ETH, currently valued at around $5.68 billion.
Most of these acquisitions were made through large over-the-counter (OTC) deals, as well as direct transfers from intermediaries such as Galaxy Digital, FalconX, and BitGo.
BitMine is not the only major organization accumulating the leading altcoin. As of today, the second-largest corporate Ethereum holder is SharpLink, with 728,804 ETH worth about $3.3 billion.
However, BitMine may soon overtake SharpLink, as the miner is actively raising funds for further Ethereum purchases. The company has already filed for a $20 billion equity offering, which eventually amounted to $24.5 billion. In its SEC filing, BitMine disclosed that the offering is being managed by Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. and ThinkEquity LLC.
The gross revenue commission reaches 3%, and the shares will be sold through multiple channels, including directly on the NYSE.
