Arthur Hayes Announces Support for a New Altcoin and Reveals a $10 Price Target
Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX and one of the cryptocurrency industry's most influential figures, known for his bold predictions on Bitcoin and altcoins, has announced his support for a new altcoin.
Hayes revealed that he has begun backing Worldcoin (WLD), a project that has remained at the center of controversy since its launch.
In a post on X, Hayes shared a chart related to WLD and also disclosed his price target for the token.
Pointing to Worldcoin’s recent momentum, Hayes set a target price of $10 for WLD.
The World project was founded by Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAI, and has been the subject of numerous controversies since its inception. The project's use of iris-scanning technology for identity verification has led to bans and regulatory investigations in several countries.
After entering the market, WLD experienced significant volatility. During the artificial intelligence rally of 2024, the token surged to $11 before later falling to around $0.20.
However, WLD has recently shown strong performance, gaining 20% over the past 24 hours and more than 100% over the last month. At the time of writing, the token was trading at approximately $0.50.
