Ki Young Ju: Bitcoin is in a “compressed spring” state
According to Ki Young Ju, the crypto market is currently in a phase of active absorption of the leading cryptocurrency by large players.
“The classic spot market structure is now going through a stage where retail investors are selling assets amid uncertainty, while whales are buying up this volume. Historically, a price increase follows the accumulation phase,” the analyst noted.
He emphasized that retail investors have always actively bought bitcoin at market peaks. At the same time, whales accumulated the asset in the $80,000–90,000 range. This role distribution — those who buy at the bottom and those who sell at the top — repeats in every cycle.
Investors should prepare for a trend change, as in the short term it is most likely worth expecting bitcoin to break out of its narrow price range, Ki Young Ju suggested.
Earlier, Bitwise chief investment officer Matt Hougan stated that over the next decade bitcoin could provide investors with stable returns, but significant annual price growth is unlikely.
