ChatGPT Chooses Which Cryptocurrency — XRP or Bitcoin — Will Perform Better in 2026
Data from OpenAI’s artificial intelligence (AI) tool ChatGPT shows that in 2026, Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP will play different roles and, as a result, achieve different outcomes.
In 2026, Bitcoin is expected to demonstrate steady growth, while XRP holds the potential for a sharp increase in value.
ChatGPT added that Bitcoin’s growth will be supported by institutional adoption through exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and corporate treasury allocations.
Based on this, the model forecasts that by 2026, Bitcoin will trade between $180,000 and $250,000. Compared to the current level of around $112,000, this represents a gain of approximately 60% to 120%.
Meanwhile, XRP has shed the pressure of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s lawsuit against Ripple. The token’s growth may primarily be driven by a spot XRP ETF.
Combined with its potential role in payments and settlements, ChatGPT’s base scenario projects XRP’s price to rise to $6–$10 in 2026. Compared to the current level of around $2.88, this represents a gain of 110% to 250% (roughly three to five times).
According to ChatGPT, Bitcoin will likely remain a reliable store of value attractive to conservative investors, while XRP may grow thanks to institutional investments.
