Bitmain sharply reduced prices for mining equipment
Bitmain offered a bundled deal: four S19 XP+ Hydro miners together with an ANTRACK V2 container. The stated price is approximately $4 per terahash per second — for a model with energy efficiency of 19 joules per terahash. Delivery is promised in January 2026.
According to internal price lists, the cost of S19e XP Hydro and 3U S19 XP Hydro miners has dropped to $3 per terahash per second. As for newer devices, the situation is as follows: S21 Immersion miners cost about $7 per terahash, while S21+ Hydro are priced at approximately $8.
Earlier, in November, the company held an auction for air-cooled S19k Pro ASICs (23 joules per terahash). The starting bid was $5.5 per terahash, and the final price was determined after the auction concluded. Deliveries of the devices were promised by the end of December.
The price reduction by Bitmain is occurring amid a decline in bitcoin mining activity. The network hashrate remains at record-high levels, but mining profitability has approached multi-year lows. As a result, miners’ margins have shrunk, and demand for new equipment — especially less efficient models — has noticeably declined. In addition, competition among ASIC manufacturers and secondary-market sellers has intensified.
Although China maintains a complete ban on mining, the country remains the world’s third-largest bitcoin miner after the United States and Russia. According to October data, China accounted for 14.06% of the global bitcoin hashrate.
