Investors withdrew nearly $440 million in one week from spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs

  • The weekly amount of withdrawn funds from spot Bitcoin ETFs totaled $315.86 million.
  • Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs lost $123.37 million.
  • However, Solana-, $XRP-, and $LINK-ETFs posted positive results.

Between February 16 and 20, 2026, the sector of spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded investment outflows of $315.86 million, according to data from SoSoValue.

According to the platform, during the specified period, negative capital movement was observed in six funds, distributed as follows:

IBIT — $303.48 million;
FBTC — $19.6 million;
BITB — $10.29 million;
GBTC — $8.45 million;
ARKB — $8.31 million;
BRRR — $1.7 million.

In turn, five ETFs — HODL, BTCO, EZBC, BTCW, and DEFI — received no assets under management, while $BTC recorded capital inflows of $35.97 million.

At the same time, exchange-traded funds based on Ethereum lost $123.37 million, according to SoSoValue.

Five exchange-traded funds, distributed as follows, lost capital:

ETHA by BlackRock — $102.05 million;
$ETH by Grayscale Investments — $7.11 million;
FETH by Fidelity Investments — $7.88 million;
QETH by Invesco — $3.67 million;
ETHW by Bitwise Asset Management — $3.34 million.

While investors did not consider ETHE, ETHV, and EZET for investments, TETH by 21Shares received $0.69 million.

It is also worth noting capital movements in altcoin-based exchange-traded funds, in particular the following crypto ETFs attracted funds:

Solana ETF — $14.31 million;
AVAX ETF — $4.26 million;
$LINK ETF — $2.4 million;
$XRP ETF — $1.84 million;
HBAR ETF — $0.94 million.

However, no investment inflows were observed in DOGE ETFs and Litecoin ETFs.

Additionally, the Hong Kong market recorded an outflow of 31.25 BTC.

Recall that over the previous four weeks, outflows from spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs exceeded $4.5 billion.

Data from May 15 regarding U.S. spot cryptocurrency ETFs showed that investor interest remains primarily focused on Bitcoin, while funds investing in Ethereum continue to face persistent outflow pressure.
