According to filings from the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE), Donald Trump purchased shares of MARA Holdings, a Bitcoin mining company, during the first quarter of 2026. The value of the purchase was reported to be between $15,001 and $50,000.

MARA Holdings announced the sale of a significant amount of Bitcoin to help finance its planned acquisition of Long Ridge Energy & Power. The deal is expected to significantly strengthen MARA’s capabilities in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC).

Bitcoin mining company MARA released its first-quarter earnings report. For the January–March period, the company’s net loss increased to $1.3 billion, compared to $533 million during the same period last year.
