Binance Futures, one of the leading platforms in the cryptocurrency derivatives market, continues to expand its product lineup. The exchange announced the launch of a new USDⓈ-margined perpetual futures contract on March 6, 2026, aimed at expanding users’ trading opportunities and enhancing their trading experience.

Bitcoin ($BTC) rose 10% after retesting $63,000 on Saturday, but bulls cannot ignore the decline in open interest (OI) in Bitcoin futures to the lowest level since August 2024 (491,300 $BTC). In dollar terms, the metric has corrected by 20% over the past month, down to $32 billion.

According to CoinGlass, total open interest in Bitcoin futures across exchanges stands at 639,780 BTC, or $43.81 billion. Over the past 24 hours, aggregate open interest decreased by 2.32%, while it rose 0.16% over the last hour.

The 24-hour trading volume of BTC futures on Binance has surged to $48.4 billion, marking the strongest figure in recent weeks and one of the largest spikes since the sharp market drop on October 10 of this year. At that time, volumes exceeded $40 billion, and the current increase represents more than a 20% rise relative to those levels. In parallel, futures for ETH, SOL, XRP, TRX, and BNB are also seeing synchronized growth, emphasizing a broad-based revival rather than isolated activity in a single market.

September was marked by active moves from major investors in the Bitcoin market. Binance data shows that whales and long-term holders repeatedly transferred coins to the exchange throughout the month, creating short-term price pressure.

Trading

After an upward trend since April this year, Bitcoin (BTC) is ending August in the red. The flagship coin is experiencing selling pressure after a sharp surge in purchases upon reaching the $120,000 level.

The cryptocurrency Cardano (ADA) attracted investors’ attention after its futures trading volume reached $6.96 billion for the first time in the past five months. This event strengthened bullish sentiment, and analysts point to a technical setup that could precede a major price breakout.

Acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham explained that the Commodity Exchange Act requires retail commodity trading using leverage, margin, or financing to be conducted only on regulated Designated Contract Markets (DCMs).

The largest U.S. crypto exchange, Coinbase, has launched perpetual futures trading for U.S.-based users. The platform offers contracts on Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Binance has introduced a new analytics product called Smart Money for futures platform users. The service allows users to track trades of top traders in real time, access analytical data, and improve their own trading efficiency. The feature also enables sharing trades with followers, boosting trust in trading signals.
