The New York Stock Exchange and its parent company, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), are creating a platform to support the trading and settlement of tokenized securities on blockchain technology.

On Wednesday, January 14, U.S. stocks moved lower, with all major indices posting losses. Equities failed to keep pace with gains in precious metals—gold and silver continued to rise—while the crypto market added 3.66% over the past 24 hours to reach $3.29 trillion.

The deal is being carried out by Mirae Asset Consulting, a non-financial subsidiary of the group. South Korean media report that it has already signed a memorandum of understanding with the main shareholders of Korbit.
